This small raft made of steel—though very strong—is very heavy, and adrift in turbulent waters. The surface of the waves are as dark and foreboding as they are hard and unyielding. It is therefore impossible for the raft to sink, regardless of the burden of weight it carries. It must instead endure in a seemingly perpetual and ominous situation.
