STONEWALL
As modern systems intertwine over vast areas of civilization and population the durability of those systems rely less on actual strength and more on the perception of strength. In that regard, this installation uses only a small percentage of tangible material to create numerous cyclical objects within the dark space of the platform. The resulting image of the objects combined with their rough fractured surface and lit interior confront the viewer with characteristics of rock or stone that is undergoing a state of repetition and tension. The qualities of durability and strength are therefore not at stake with this piece—only perception.
