This sculpture has been built to reference the shape of a ship or vessel that incorporates patterns of arcs extending into the surrounding space. The impetus originates in part with certain navigational techniques; wherein position and direction are calculated with the arc, line, and circle. Being a "vessel" itself (as the top portion can be removed, revealing a hollow interior) the piece also uses blue/green glazes on the surface in reference to aquatic life.
